SPAGA History
The Saskatchewan Professional Art Galleries Association (SPAGA) was
established in 1999. The association's goals from the outset were to
increase public knowledge about the role and responsibilities of reputable
galleries, provide opportunities for professional growth for its members and
co-ordinate projects of common interest. It serves as a united voice for
Saskatchewan's leading art dealers to institutions and governments alike.
We provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information to support and
encourage Saskatchewan commercial galleries as they promote Saskatchewan
fine arts and craft.
Essentially, we're a group of ethical galleries who believe in the
incredible, unique feeling one gets from owning original art . . . and want all of
Saskatchewan to know about it.
